3. Workshop of the Centers for Very Large Business Applications (CVLBA)
Successful collaboration SAP AG, OvGU Magdeburg and TUM
In 2006, as a result of the successful teaching collaboration of the SAP AG with the Otto-von-Guericke-University of Magdeburg as well as with the Technical University of Munich, SAP AG decided to extend this cooperation additionally into the area of research. So, the innovative power of the SAP University Competence Centers (founded 2000 and 2003 in Magdeburg and Munich) and their SAP system landscapes are now also provided beneficially for scientists.
Since the foundation of both CVLBAs in November 2006 five PhD positions were created at each of both universities and financed by SAP AG. Thereby and because of external PhD positions current industrial and economic problems are incorporating into innovative research on a long-term basis at both centers.
In particular, methodological aspects, management and operation of Very Large Business Applications as well as community aspects are in focus.
